Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 1, Episode 9: The Puppet Show
Written by Dean Batali & Rob Des Hotel; Directed by Ellen S. PressmanThis episode is pretty inoffensive, but it does feel a lot like those Goosebumps shows they used to air on Fox Kids. I'm glad these light-hearted "monster of the week" episodes didn't continue to any great extent beyond the second season, with the stand-alone episodes that do show up later on having somewhat more dramatic weight to them than this. This episode does, however, feature the introduction of the foul Principal Snyder, so I just have to give it a higher mark than I Robot, You Jane.
