Just arrived…
Wallace & Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death (Blu-ray, 2 Entertain, Region ABC, UK)
A word of warning to those living in the old NTSC territories: this is a 1080i/50Hz disc, which isn’t entirely surprising given that it was made for UK TV.

I saw this in HMV today and my first thought was 'I wonder if Michael's got a copy.'

I watched this on BBC HD at Christmas and wasn't _that_ impressed with the storyline at the time.

I think it’s certainly weaker than A Clove Shave and The Wrong Trousers (the latter being, in my opinion, about as close to perfection as any 30-minute short I’ve seen), but I’d put it a couple of notches ahead of both A Grand Day Out and the feature-length movie. It certainly entertained me more than anything else I watched over the Christmas period. I think that, particularly with a film of this length, the plot itself is secondary to the execution.
