What?!! No HD DVD of FORBIDDEN PLANET?!! I cannot believe it. I actually own an HD DVD that you don't. Oh well, no doubt you can rectify that in the iminent HD DVD firesales. Ach, first time I got burned by backing a 'dead' format, but really there's life in it yet - I even got a few discs I haven't gotten around to watching yet, and shall keep an eye on the sales for a few bargains...

Forbidden Planet was one of the titles I was planning on picking up just after Warner made their announcements, but it sounds as if it’s headed to Blu-ray anyway (along with all the other Warner titles that were HD DVD exclusive), so there’s plenty of time to grab a copy at a later point.

I picked up Forbidden Planet yesterday, damn hard to find at a decent price. I refused to pay over a tenner for it.
