Twilight (Blu-ray, E1 Entertainment, Region ABC, UK)
My curiosity got the better of me. So much vitriol has been hurled in the direction of this film and the book upon which is is based that I eventually caved in and decided to see it for myself.

Careful, the film's pro-abstinance undertones might scar you into a life of celibacy.

I'm in the same boat as you with this one. I've heard such extreme opinions on it that I simply have to see it, and now it's near the top of my Lovefilm queue. I'm curious both as a fan of vampire stories and a fan of those 'so bad it's good' kind of films.

If you were not Michael Mackenzie, I would fear for your safety. However, I know you are a professional, and are taking all precautions.

I am in the process of locking away all sharp objects and will be instructing members of my family to handcuff me securely to my chair before the screening begins, lest I do severe damage to myself and others.

IMO, it's not a bad film but it's also very mediocre.
